Dr. Haimann has over 20 years diagnosing and treating vitreo-retinal diseases. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Northwestern University Medical school in 1977, completed his residency at the University of Iowa and took his vitreo-retinal fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Haimann is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American College of Eye Surgeons.

Dr. Haimann is the chief of staff at Straith Hospital for Special Surgery. He also has consulting privileges at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital Center.
